Aki Mashima, an indepedent film director, had his commercial debut close at hand, until Shinkai stole the position from right under his nose. Filled with despair, he chucks his camera over a footbridge, only to have one of his fans, a high school girl and aspiring actress named Mika Wanibuchi, bravely throw herself forward to save it.
Aki falls in love with her at first sight and tricks her into becoming the heroine of his commercial film. However, when Mika meets the real heroine, a busty idol named Hina Nakamura, and learns that Aki was forced to resign from being director, Mika confronts Hina in her dressing room and murders her. Aki escapes with Mika and decides to film their life on the lam.
